Workshop II: The Undervaluation of Care Work in Human Services
Jennie Romich (She/Her) is Professor of Social Welfare at the University of Washington School of Social Work and Faculty Director of the West Coast Poverty Center.
Romich studies individual and family economic well-being, the labor market, and social policy with an emphasis on low-income workers’ interactions with public policy. Her research has examined state and local policy topics including child welfare, tolling, paid sick and safe time, paid family leave, and the minimum wage.
