Joel Eskovitz
Workshop I: Challenges of an Aging Population: Retirement Gaps and Elder Care
Joel Eskovitz (He/Him) is the Director of Social Security and Savings at the AARP Public Policy Institute. He also leads AARP's Enterprise strategy to coordinate all internal and external efforts around Social Security.
Joel has spent nearly two decades working in various levels of federal and state government, analyzing and developing policy on issues ranging from retirement security and consumer protection to transportation and property taxes. At the US Senate Special Committee on Aging, where he served as deputy staff director and chief counsel, Joel planned and organized more than 25 hearings on issues ranging from improving retirement security of small business workers to payday lending to Social Security solvency and services. He helped write and produce Committee reports on financial fraud and Social Security field office closures.
