Maria E. Caballero (She/Her) is an Assistant Professor at American University.  She is an applied microeconomist, focusing on research at the intersection of labor economics, the economics of migration, and development economics. Her work focuses on understanding the effects of economic and policy shocks on migrants’ destination countries in their communities of origin.
