Travel and Accommodations

Care Conference 2024 will take place Friday, April 5, on the American University campus’ Constitution Hall.

Travel and Hotel:

Out-of-town attendees are responsible for their own travel costs. The event hosts have reserved a block of rooms at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC, for those who need accommodations. To book, click here.

Transportation:

The best way to get to the event site from the hotel and points local is by taxi or rideshare service to the address above. Public transportation options are detailed below, but the event site is not on the main Metro rail line.

  • Driving/Parking: Guests that are driving to the event should enter the address above on the GPS. There is a paid parking lot adjacent to the event site. Entrance signs for the parking lot can be found along Nebraska Ave near the event site. Click here for instructions on how to access discount code on parking! Limited parking is available.
  • Metro/Bus: The closest Metro stop is the Tenleytown–AU station. The Metro’s Red Line stop is a short walk (<10 min) from the hotel. Board the Red Line train at the Woodley Park station and take the train towards Shady Grove, getting off at the Tenleytown–AU station Metro stop (3 stops away). Exit the Metro and walk to Tenley Circle and catch the M4 bus towards Sibley Hospital and get off at the Nebraska Ave/New Mexico Ave stop (about a 4 min ride). American University’s Constitution Hall is a one-minute walk away across Nebraska Ave.
  • Bus: Guests can also catch Metro’s 96 bus at the corner of Calvert Street and Connecticut Ave. Take the bus toward Tenleytown Station and change buses at the Tenleytown stop to the M4 bus towards Sibley Hospital. Get off at the Nebraska Ave/New Mexico Ave stop (about a 4 min ride). American University’s Constitution Hall is a one-minute walk away across Nebraska Ave.
